According to Hildegard Angel, the dress was originally made for a fashion show and worn by her sister, Ana Cristina, at a party held in Copacabana Palace’s Golden Room, in Rio de Janeiro, on December 1967. On this particular occasion, Joan Crawford’s going away party, the actress requested a dress of the same model to the designer for herself.
