The dress is part of the Political Fashion collection, a segment of the International Dateline Collection II. It was used during the final moments of the 1971 fashion show held at the residence of Lauro Sotello Alves, the Brazilian consul at New York. According to Hildegard Angel, the piece’s particularity is its very elaborate modeling. The dress’ mold is part of the Zuzu Angel Institute.

Clothes description:
Long sleeveless dress, in dark red cotton armure, with an angel embroidered in sequins, beads and tubes. It’s particularity is quite elaborate, with cutouts on the sides, on the bottom part, made up by a godet skirt. There is no lining on the piece, the sequin embroidery is visible on the inside. The closing on the back has brackets and a 0, 56 cm polyester zipper. The belt’s width is 0, 36 cm.
