Ten students from the Technical Course in Events, from the Adolpho Bloch State Technical School, from Faetec, in São Cristóvão, are producing the event “ZZ Parade: fashion in the form of protest”, in honor of Brazilian designer Zuzu Angel, at Parque Glória Maria . The entire activity is part of the class's Course Completion Work (TCC) and opened on Saturday, December 2nd, with an exhibition and conversation circle, with the presence of journalist Hildegard Angel and Julio Cesar Lima, from the project JCRÉ Facilitator, which offers an entrepreneurial vision for young people and adults in Jacarezinho, in the North Zone, in areas of high demand in the market, such as beauty, fashion and sports. The closing ceremony takes place this Sunday, with a fashion show, starting at 2pm, which will feature five Faetec students on the catwalk. According to the course coordinator and TCC advisor, Kelly Santos, for the students it is the true exercise of the profession in which they are training; and that being able to take ideas off paper and realize them is transformative. - Guiding this type of work is an act of courage. It is in the nature of the Cultural Production and Events Technician to go beyond the school walls, materializing innovative ideas that integrate with the professional work of the job market. I'm very happy that this happened. And some will even parade with JCRÉ's experienced models, who already work for several big brands and hold national and international fashion shows - says the teacher, proudly. Resident of Vista Alegre, student Any Beatriz, aged 18, is the event's curator and said that the idea for the project was due to the admiration, importance and strength of Zuzu Angel. - The way she used fashion, her creations, not only to express what she was feeling like in mourning dresses, but also to protest against political repression in a subtle and delicate way, always caught my attention. So I thought about writing the project. So that other young people could get to know her, delve deeper into her history and understand her importance for fashion and Brazilian history - says the student.Producer of the event, student Ana Carolina Oleiro, 17, resident of Vilar dos Teles, in São João de Meriti, reinforces that the closing event will have the face and profile of Zuzu, who held parades with her pieces in protest clothing and important militancies for the time, placing in them small elements that highlighted the crimes committed during the years of lead. - We in the class know Zuzu's story, we were moved and saw how important she was for the world of fashion and also for the fight against the dictatorship. From this we decided to create a current fashion show with the same fashion as hers, fashion in the form of protest - says the young woman. Daughter of the designer, Hildegard Angel is happy to see Faetec's initiative in providing students with knowledge of fashion through the work of her mother, Zuzu Angel. - Faetec's initiative to honor Brazilian memory with a focus on protagonists of historical and transformative moments, such as Zuzu Angel, is very important - comments the journalist.
